Play date anyone?

For anyone who has had to make a move with pre-schoolers, you know it is not easy. When Jaimee Bigwood moved to the Kapiti Coast in May 2008 she knew with a toddler and no. 2 on the way she needed support and fast. "I wanted to make sure I had support in place in a new town - by getting out and about and meeting other parents" said Jaimee.
"A year later and I was still discovering new things to try with our baby and toddler - and I am sure there is still more out there for us. While each new discovery is exciting, having all of the information in one place would have been easier for us".

In August 2009 Jaimee launched New Zealand’s first one-stop website for parents and caregivers of children Under 5.

Playdate is a resource
for those looking for places to take their Under 5’s. The main purpose of this website is to allow parents and caregivers to easily access a list of activities in their area including:
• Play Centres & Play Groups
• Music, Movement & Story Sessions
• Pre-schooler Friendly Cafes & Restaurants
• Buggy Suitable Walks & Parks
• Special Outings
• Support Organisations
• Changing & Toileting Facilities

Being able to search for activities by day, location or category makes
playdate ideal for finding new activities in your area, or for use when you are moving house or going on holiday.

Playdate.co.nz – helping parents and pre-schoolers get out and about!
