Sad or not?

I can't decide if I am sad, happy or indifferent to my baby starting school yesterday. I was not in tears like some mothers; as a working mother of four I was looking forward to the few hours a day of uninterrupted, guilt free office time.

I look at my little boy and wonder how he got so big and as he is the youngest I was a little sad to see the end of the pre-school era. I am sure soon enough he will join his siblings in the rebel against homework, getting out of bed on school mornings and the mad rush to pack the school bag before the bus comes. For now he is a willing participant and the excitement of school is still high in the air.

On the plus side I do not have any excuse not to bring exciting new things to BabyBaby - with all this freedom I have now!

Inspiration

As a mother of four I am always on the look out for a good bargain. Two years ago I found a spider man suit for my youngest son at a garage sale for just $1.00 My son has worn this suit so much so that we have had to patch up holes and re-sew seams. He has worn it at two Halloweens in a row plus to other dress up events and for no apparent reason except that he felt like dressing up. I live in an area where children only dress up for Halloween so I have had cars slow down and point at Mr. four wearing his spider man suit around the neighbourhood. Other kids are fascinated when they see spider man coming towards them in the super market and the preschool are so use to my boy coming in costume that they no longer batter an eye lid. I can not believe how one dollar has brought so much pleasure and fun.
Watching the spider man suit make its reappearance the other day after being discarded for the new Buzz Light Year costume I got to thinking how everyone needs that dollar bargain item. For the month of August if your purchase $50.00 worth of skin care you can choose one of our BabyBaby Products for just $1.00 Use the promo code ONE at check out.
Enjoy!

World Breast Feeding Week New Zealand

Are you a breastfeeding mum and proud of it? Have you signed up for The Big Latch On?

Women's Health Action Trust is a not-for-profit organisation and every year during World Breastfeeding Week, they host the “Big Latch On”. The event is an opportunity for breastfeeding mothers to get together all over the country and simultaneously breastfeed. This is the event’s fifth year and each Big Latch On has attracted more women than the one before. Last year there were 1122 mothers and babies latched on and counted. The feedback they get from women who take part is that it is a wonderful event and we get many coming back with subsequent children.

So what are you waiting for sign up for the event in your area.

This year the Auckland Breastfeeding Network in Auckland is organising a region-wide "Big Latch On" event at the Hoyts Cinema Complex in Sylvia Park . Breastfeeding women from all over Auckland have registered to take part in the event. They are offering a free movie and spot prizes including a BabyBaby Gift Pack containing our Feeding Pillow and BabyBaby Skin Care. We also have sent 100 sample packs to our friends at the Timaru event.

Let us know if you are going to any of the events this year. We would love to hear from you and especially would like a photo of you using our feeding pillow!
